The first pixelhose.com writing competition is now officially closed. On behalf of everyone here, I want to thank every author for your participation.
As you can easily see from our format, pixelhose is an entirely new approach to writing contests. So it should not be a surprise that what happens next is also different from other competitions. Here is what you should expect:
a) We will continue to post qualified entries on pixelhose.com until all of them have appeared on the site for at least a week. Given the submission volume, and our current rate of rejection, we expect this to complete before Mid January 2012.
b) We expect to release our short list of winning candidates about the end of January, 2012. There will be a list for each category. We will then allow two weeks so people can (re)read the candidate pieces and comment.
c) Winners will be announced in late February, 2012.
d) pixelhose.com staff comments will be posted for each qualified entry by the end of February, 2012.
Note that the dates are approximate as of this writing. We will of course keep everyone posted about our progress. Please don’t hesitate to comment on this post, or email us, if you have any questions – now, or at any time.
Wishing each and every one of you success in your writing career,
